Notes from a small island A weblog by Jonathan Ali |
Thursday, March 06, 2003 The book that gave this blog its title has been named as the book that best portrays England in a poll conducted for World Book Day. Bill Bryson's Notes From A Small Island, based on the American's observations and experiences over twenty years of living in Britain beat out George Orwell's 1984 and Zadie Smith's White Teeth among others to the title. I wonder if this blog will ever top any polls? Doubt it. I am doomed to toil on in unrelenting obscurity... posted by Jonathan | 11:11 AM 0 comments 0 Comments: |
