Notes from a small island
A weblog by Jonathan Ali

So, what does Brian Lara want? An ambassadorship? A government pension? More things named after him? Hardly.

"All I want my record to do is bring a little bit more cohesiveness in the West Indies, in our team and in our people. These performances, if shared among our people, will have more value than anything else."

May whatever god Brian Lara believes in bless him. And he should take the pension, if it's offered him. It'll come in handy while he's waiting for the people of the Caribbean to come together.
